Behold a few very early work copies from the Gaian faction. They don’t necessarily represent the actual end product. All may change. They’re sloppy work that’s only intended to be used for internal playtesting by the devs. As such they may contain all kinds of notes, errors and strangeness.

The art is absolutely incredible. And you say this is only preliminary!! Will this be the final style of the artwork which only needs to be refined?
Any timetable as to when you would like/expect everything to be completed?
Best wishes and success on your group venture. I am greatly looking forward to seeing the culmination of the project (and possibly being a contributor). Please continue to post updates over on Boardgamegeek.
Thanks for the encouraging words Ray – they’re needed and much appreciated.
The style of the card art is set and is unlikely to change since we have amassed quite a collection of it and are happy with it’s distinct look (inspired by Battle for Wesnoth and also in part based on it). Card art will look as it does now. Only a handfull of images will be swapped out for others. What may change somewhat is how text is rendered on the cards, layout and graphical elements of the card template(s), and also wording and rules on specific cards since the ones in here are early work copies.
Will try to keep Boardgamegeek updated. I am a huge fan of that site and will see to it when we have a release. I expect that we will have 2 up to 3 factions ready for playtesting during 2012, leaving only 2 factions left until we have the complete core. So, I’d guess the complete thing would be done 2013/2014, playtested and all.
After that we’ll be doing plenty of smaller but more often released expansions and struggle to build a playerbase.
You’re welcome to join up and become a part of the team both now and later on.
