A very short & summarised presentation of the people that are working on the WTactics project, in chrono order. Also notice that you can use a peoples nickname@WTactics.org to get in touch with that specific person.
snowdrop
Kind of like Spiderman, tries to keep all the pieces together & make the project become real. Oversees the original rules concept as main interest is in rules development. Also handles Swedish translation. Loves CCG:s and is an old MtG-player. Prefers real cards & company instead of digital, but wouldn’t turn it down if friends aren’t around. Adores the open source community & Linux.
Ravenchild
Responsible for programming Cardscape, the site that will hold the full card pool of WTactics and allow the community to create new cards, discuss and revise them with ease. Helps design the game itself and is very enthusiastic about open source and Linux in particular. Ravenchild is confident WTactics will become a better game than MtG.
Q_x
Cross-breed between Tasmanian Devil and Eeyore, keeps everybody entertained and motivated. Takes care for visual stuff here and there, manages graphic stuff, cares for hi quality and printing and does various adhockery when needed. Plays games since like he was small. Last times he is little bit into backpacking and hiking, but was into quantum physics as well.
vulture
Like a shadow, creeping in. Responsible for the German translation and, of course, cutting throats and poisoning food and drinks. No, just kidding … about the translation part. Loves any post-nuclear/apocalyptic setting but couldn’t resist the idea behind WTactics and hopes for times of great glory.
Gallaecio
Just happen to be around. Being FOSS lover, having played Magic The Gathering and being Wesnoth Galician translator probably took me here. Will take care of Galician translation, and also Spanish translation while no one else is up to it. Have no coding skills yet, but maybe some years from now I work on a Qt-based client for the game, who knows!
Knitter (slopes on IRC)
Just another programmer, like so many out there, a simple geek. With strong feelings towards Java platform, object oriented programming and agile development, I’m currently an entrepreneur trying to create my own company and working to get my first million
. Never played any CCG, MtG was way too complex, but have come to like WTactics very much, both the project and the resulting cards (can’t wait to print some of them and get my first deck). In WTactics I’m the Portuguese translator and SandScape developer. And yes, I just had to ruin the “avatar logic” but my avatar is cute!
Barry “IsharaComix” Peddycord![]()
I’m a programmer, an open source fanatic, and – above all – a hopeless academic. I’ve been lurking in the WTactics community since mid-2010, and as soon as I opened my mouth to say hi, I found myself being roped into helping out with various projects, such as ViCE, the gccg plugin, and various proofreading jobs. Until I figure out how to get out of this mess, I’ll contribute my code and company at times when I’m busy working towards my Ph.D.

I guess I’m kind of like a honey badger. I work and go to school part-time, but if I ever manage to get free time, I do my best as founder of the ViCE project, which will essentially be the desktop analogue to Cardscape. As far as WTactics goes, I hope to make it the first officially supported, open-source card game that runs on ViCE, and to use ViCE to make contributions to the WTactics project, such as play-testing, card creation, and rule development.
